GenderFemale
OccupationI work as a lifeguard at Cherry Hill. Basically, I get to people watch all day...AND I GET PAID TO DO IT!
LocationUnited States
IntroductionSomething that shaped me into who I am and the reason I am who I am were the experiences I had growing up. I grew up living in Russia (3 years), Ecuador (4 years), Mexico (4 years), Guatemala (2 years), and now USA (5 years). My experiences overseas taught me to be a very open-minded person. I'll be anyone's friend, as long as they don't pull me down. I am incredibly enthusiastic and happy to be alive. There is nothing better than living! My long, golden, braided hair is probably my main physical trademark. I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (aka I'm Mormon), and I'm PROUD of it!
InterestsI absolutely love meeting people and getting to know them individually. I love smiling and being happy, positive, and enthusiastic about life. You'll always catch me laughing, whether at something funny that was said, or maybe just laughing to laugh. I have real nice abs from all the laughing I do (really though, I never work out. It's all from laughing). Technology is nice, but there is nothing that makes me feel more at ease and peaceful than being outside, surrounded by God's wonderful creations. Sunsets are my favorite part of the day; there is just something spiritual about the beautiful colors that light up the Earth at that time of day. I enjoy playing sports, but I never really took the time to master a single one. I tried lacrosse this past year and absolutely LOVED it. I've also played soccer, basketball, swimming, ping pong, jumping-on-the-trampoline, foosball, freeze tag, track, handball, the list goes on. Musically, I play the piano, oboe, clarinet (but not really...I was in marching band and pretty much just held the clarinet), and harmonica. Teaching myself how to play the harmonica was probably one of the best things I've done with my life. I have a fascination with braids. When someone braids their hair, my heart jiggles (yes, jiggles, not giggles) with joy. I love shopping at the DI, which is a thrift store, and getting really old, classy clothes. Also, I wear miss-matched shoes (sue me).
Favorite moviesLord of the Rings, We Bought a Zoo, How To Train Your Dragon (mainly for the music...plus it has a nice moral), Harry Potter, Cool Runnings... I don't really watch movies too often, but those are ones that I know I love. And I absolutely never watch TV except for the Olympics, World Cup, and General Conference. So I don't even know any TV shows.
Favorite musicOoooh I love music. This list would be way too long. But for right now, I absolutely am in love with Imagine Dragons. The song Radioactive gets me dancing like it's no one's business. Here's a preview of my music tastes: The Beatles, U2, Coldplay, He Is We, Windsor Drive, Ingrid Michaelson, Regina Spektor (ooooh Regina...), Barenaked Ladies, Jack Johnson, Noah and the Whale, Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Alex Boye, Fleet Foxes, Sea Wolf...okay this list is getting longer than I meant. Ask me to share my music and I'll tell ya some great stuff.
Favorite booksThe Book of Mormon is the most incredible book I've ever read. I also really enjoy Oh! The Places You'll Go by Dr. Suess. It's super philosophical. I recently read Tuesdays with Morrie, and I took an entire page of notes from it (and I wasn't even in school); it is a must-read. The Giver is also really amazing. In a nutshell, my favorite books to read are non-fiction. I love true stories. Or books that make me smarter, or that get me thinking about life.
