| Introduction | We have traveled from Texas to Sri Lanka - where we will be based out of for the next 9 months or so - in order to create a more perfect 8th grade learning adventure worthy of education. While we have books galore & tutors to help with the ESSENTIALS: English, Math and Science ... we will spend an equal amount of time on the QUINTESSENTIAL: Cultures, People, Religion (esp. Buddhism and Islam), Food, History, Architecture and whatever experiences await us. The plan is to travel to Vietnam, India and Thailand. If we manage our budget well, we might be able to squeeze in another country ... perhaps, Australia? Stay tuned ... |
| Interests | Reading, blogging, opining. God, the Divine, Spirituality. All things Politics. Cultures, Socioeconomic realities, Racial-realities. Cooking, Gardening, Traveling. Special needs children, ADD/ADHD & developmental disorders. Education in the public, private & home sectors. Environment. Sociology. People. Friendship. Oh yes ... and FOOD. I love checking out new places, new foods, and new ideas about food. I do not like eating meat, though - but that does not mean other couldn't eat it if they want to (shrug). I like sitting at a little side-walk cafe and sipping on a cuppa coffee and people-watching. Is there anything more glorious than that? |
