| Introduction | I Am Somebody! works with the core premise that if each individual knows they matter, they will make different choices for themselves, their community and the environment. I Am Somebody! weaves inspired exchange as a tool for reconciliation. By building a support structure around youth leaders, the organisation facilitates exchange across culture and class, addressing segregation in South African society while developing active solutions for current problems and future communities. We work with young leaders through our two year mentorship programme. We create support for the youth in our programme through relationships with individuals who want to support these youth and through a network of partner organisations that exchange resources and skills with one another. |
