Introduction Currently a post-doctoral fellow in the University of Canterbury's "Gateway Antarctica" research centre, Kurt has spent the last seven years working within the ice-free areas of the Transantarctic Mountains. As a glacial geomorphologist, his main research focus is on understanding how the unique landscape of the McMurdo Dry Valleys have evolved over the past few million years.
