| Introduction | I grew up in Townsville, North Queensland and have been in the recreational fishing industry in some way or another for the last 12 years and have worked extensively in the east coast marlin fishery from Cairns to Port Stephens. I have a degree in Aquaculture which although I havent used directly, has contributed to my knowlege of the marine world and the creatures that inhabit it. My year consists of guiding in Weipa from late March to the end of August, then picking up a game fishing vessel to fish Townsville and the Cairns heavy tackle season. I also run a game boat privately in Port Stephens in February and March. On days off, I do a bit of R&D (Research and development). |
