Introduction	I live in Lochwinnoch, a lovely little village which is an RSPB reserve, and I'm surrounded by lochs, rivers, woods and lots of birds. I try to make my garden as wildlife-friendly as I can, and in particular I encourage bees, birds and frogs. I have 2 cats, Lily and her son The Woozle. The cats are great company and support, but there are occasional Conflicts of Interest. Those Conflicts of Interest are usually bird-, bat-, or moth-shaped ... Music is very important to me. I play flute and recorder and have recently taken up the violin, which is now my main instrument.

Favorite movies	The best film I've seen this year is Habla Con Ella, a Spanish film. Brilliant!
Favorite music	Baroque composers, Early religious music, The Beatles, Mozart, Philip Glass .... eclectic!
Favorite books	My favourite book of all time is A A Milne's Winnie the Pooh. I wish Disney hadn't taken over these stories and characters as it has. Great Expectations is wonderful.
