Introduction	The HUMAN-NET Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County Human Resources Development Foundation was established in 1996. The main goal of the founders was to help the economic and social development of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County without the interference of the government and political parties, as an independent organisation. The main focus has been the development of the county’s human resources. The Foundation has been responsible for the Family Care Services in Nyíregyháza since 2005 thanks to a contract with the local government. Beyond the family care services we are involved in Grant Application writing and implementation, independently or in cooperation with the local government and higher education institutions. The Foundation is responsible for the operation of the Örökösföldi Community House. The Huszárvár Sociocultural Service Centre is operated in the Huszár-telep, and we maintain three homestead care-giving services. Our organisation’s goal is the development of the human resources’ knowledge and skill level; helping families, the society’s smallest unit; and the prevention and rehabilitation services connected to the establishment of health conscious behaviour and lifestyle.
