Introduction	Hello and welcome to Let Them Shine! This is my home for thinking, questioning, and discussing the future of education. As a teacher-turned-mother of two young children, I think a lot about my two passions: teaching and raising creative, inspired, compassionate citizens. A former proponent of standards, assessments, and progress tracking, raising my children and venturing out of the public schools has turned my opinion of these standard practices on its head. I have more questions than answers, and I encourage you to join the conversation as I explore and modify my own educational philosophy and what an authentic, complete education looks like.
