Introduction	Taking the political ideology quiz, I fall into the post-modern category. I agree that America is a great country, but it could be better. In my senior year of high school, we had to volunteer somewhere related to politics. I chose to volunteer at the Republican offices here in Austin. The work wasn't anything special. Basically all we did was fold a letter into an envelope so they could mail it. They also had us sit (a certain amount of feet), outside voting places and hold up signs telling people to vote for whatever person was running for office. That was as close as I have come to real life politics. This is one of the classes I am required to take, but I must say in the two times we have met for lectures, I enjoyed the way this class works and I'm excited to see how much knowledge I can gain. No surprise to me that when I took the civics and current events quiz, I did better on the current events quiz. I will admit that this was due mainly to the fact that I have been paying attention to both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions. Although I did do better than 74% of the public, which is really all I can brag about. The civics quiz kicked my butt!
