Introduction	The impact of understanding our physical world through such theories as Quantum Mechanics and Relativity gives way to my exploration of solitude and the romance of matter on both a grand and a minute scale. By using familiar yet elusive forms, I intend to bestow feelings of nostalgia or a sense of reluctance upon the viewer through organic and geometric symbolism. The negative space within which the minimal forms are set emphasizes solitude and my idea that we are ultimately alone within ourselves. -Alejandro Augustine Padilla
