| Interests | One of my best friends once said that I am so attracted to the abnormal that I overlook the ordinary. I’m not so sure that she meant it as a compliment. I am fascinated by quirks and distracted by my dreams. A social loner, I discover myself through the people I am surrounded by and so far I know that I don't like details, I love costumes, I love to be busy, I am sometimes socially unreliable and there is no avoiding the occasional girl-out. I’ll give 110% but am not afraid to quit. I love new (quirky!) people but I hate to network. I love a great dive bar and most live music. I tend to feel like I’ve already met every person I come into contact with. I love my family fiercely and sometimes don’t know what to do about it. I am discovering my spirituality – can I call myself a practicing Buddhist if I don’t meditate but I make little decisions based on karma and big decisions based on my heart? I’m a dreamer in search of a holy moment and if you know what that means we should compare stories. I like the present moment most of the time and I always love the future. I am fortunate to be surrounded by inspiring and hilarious friends. Like everyone else, I'm trying to figure it all out. But I do know the happiest I’ve ever been is on a boat on a lake. And to tell you the truth, I'm in awe of life right now... with respect to the good AND the bad, after a series of random, very lucky accidents, it all seems to be coming together. |
