| Introduction | Welcome to my blog about my journey through 8 years of infertility. It is my goal to keep this blog positive. I've read so many stories about women struggling with infertility and they are just plain depressing. I know it's a tough road and that I will have bad days but I hope to travel it with a little bit of humor and grace. I have gone through 6 IUIs with clomid and stims, plus 1 cancelled cycle due to OHSS, 3 months of clomid without stims, 1 fresh IVF cycle, many, many years of TTC naturally, 2 HSG tests, 3 SISs (including 1 failed and 1 under anesthesia), laparoscopy, polyp and fibroid removal, menopause, medication, medication, medication, etc., etc., etc. And finally one FET cycle that gave me my first ever BFP! My monthly cycles are like clockwork and I have received a positive surge on every OPK I've used. It's a mystery to all the doctors why I've never had a BFP (until now!), other than the fact that I have endometriosis. But the laparoscopy should have helped with that. (DH was tested and everything is fine with him.) Read on to learn more about my journey to mommyhood. |
