| Introduction | Like a number of young ambitious folks, I rose the ranks in corporate America only to have it point out serious voids in my planned life. I stared out of my office window into the dream of a creative career. Then I jumped. I travel with my two Rhodesian Ridgebacks named Cola and Roux and my love, Troy, or as I like to call him, T-roy. My style can be called silly and that won’t bother me one bit. I live in a whimsical world — one intentionally built, stroke by stroke. It’s a life constructed, hodgepodge at times, out of painting, sculpture, music, writing, travel and photography. Born and raised in New Iberia, Louisiana, my influences are noticeably Cajun and deceptively deep. My canvases, commonly made of sinker cypress (straight from the Atchafalaya Basin) and anything recycled, reflect a range of primitive folk designs that hint at my roots and travels. Hopefully, my photos will make you smile and my writing will make you fall in love with places and artists you've never heard of before. I am honored that you've chosen to journey with me as I discover life and other treasures along the way. And as I like to say...follow your art! |
