Introduction	Kim is a 34 year old working wife and mother of two beautiful children. For the past 10 years she has dedicated her education and passion to the field of oncology and practices as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner in a private practice. She has been on both sides of the hospital bed and believes that has made her a compassionate, empathetic and dedicated nurse practitioner. After losing a brother to brain cancer at the age of 18, she struggled to find an answer to her question "why"? And after her mother triumphantly battled breast cancer, she once again asked the question "why"? And now the question once again arises as she holds the knowledge of being BRCA 1+ in her hands. Another journey begins within this family, with herself, her sister and mother all testing positive for the BRCA 1 gene.
