| Introduction | In May 2009, my fiancee, Travis, and I moved from Boston to New York to begin an internship on an organic farm. We had no training in agriculture; we were simply two city kids who grew up in normal homes, graduated from college, and found that all the good things we were promised about the "real world" didn't actually provide anything meaningful to us. Travis and I see the food we eat--so fundamental in life--as a way to reach out to people in a real way. Our interest in agriculture and food has led to this quest to start a career in organic farming. We are onto our second internship now, in Austin, Texas, and we're not sure where we'll go from here... |
