Introduction bruce hails from Aotearoa (New Zealand) although he has been living in Coffs Harbour (Australia) since 2012. Now "retired" bruce spends his days with the "4 Rs" - reading, running, riding (cycling), and (w)riting. He has over 40 years experience working in community development and education. In Coffs Harbour he is a member of a number of community groups, including the Coffs Harbour Writers Group, a men's mentoring group, and the local orienteering club. He is the founder of a bi-monthly poetry evening at a local cafe. bruce has self-published four books. "Opportunities Emerging" which explores social change in a complex world. "Alex and the Rainbow Warrior Affair" is a novella for young people about the bombing of the Greenpeace ship in Auckland Harbour in 1985. "Thirty-three Words for Feather" is 33 short stories in which a feather is a feature of each. His latest writing is a full-length historical fiction novel - "Ironic Cross" - which explores themes of war, irony, guilt, forgiveness, and reconciliation.
