| Introduction | I have been an oncology nurse since 1980 and was interested in "palliative care" many years before I heard the term. I have worked in community hospitals, academic medical centers, home care, and industry. Currently, I teach a couple of classes in the Yale School of Nursing and work in the Supportive Care Program at Yale Cancer Center. The latter position includes seeing patients in the adult Survivorship Clinic. I also write a supportive care/survivorship e-mail newsletter, YaleCares. I am involved with community-based organizations which focus on pain and end-of-life care. |
| Interests | Pain, palliative care, environmental stuff, “Harry Homeowner” stuff, organizational development, cemetery headstones, history, and lots of other stuff. (“Stuff” does not include television or commercial radio). |
