| Introduction | A 6th generation New Zealander, wife and mother of three school age children from an Administrative background specialising in Credit Control. The current Chair of Mahurangi College's Board of Trustees I also chair the Finance Sub-committee and am the Board’s liaison to Te Whanau O Mahurangi. Having spent many years on volunteer committees working with and for my community; in November 2010 I was successful in my campaign to represent the Warkworth Ward on the Rodney Local Board of the new Auckland Council. I have responsibility for the following portfolios: Youth, Prostitution, Alcohol, Economic Development, Environment, Heritage, Social Community Policy, Civil Defence and Emergency Management, Conservation and Iwi Liaison. I also monitor the following CCO’s: ATEED, Auckland Council Investments Ltd and Regional Facilities Limited and hold responsibility for tracking policy and bylaw development for Sex Premises. I see my central government candidacy as a natural continuation of this community focused work. |
