| Introduction | I was born in Wales but moved to England in 1988 where I trained and worked as a Midwife. In 2003 I emigrated to Australia and worked as a Midwife in charge of labour ward at South Australia's largest private hospital (as part of my visa agreement). Let's not dwell on that, but after 2 years I replaced my sponsored business visa with permanent residency and lost no time in becoming an independent Midwife! I love my work and am very active in many facets of midwifery. I honestly can't think of anything else I would rather do. I've been married to Jeremy since 1990 and we have 4 children. I love the weather when it's really hot and dry. You certainly won't hear me complaining when it's nudging 40C. And even though I adore the beach we live 30 minutes away up in the Adelaide hills because it's so beautiful and relaxed. Sure, it's a bit damp and misty in winter but being able to roar up our wood heater and bake potatoes until they are crispy makes up for it. |
