| Introduction | My life changed at 30 when I bore two little girls, in Decemeber 2007, and became a sleep deprived, frantic, elated and mystified mother of twins. And have ever since been on a journey to understand what the role of mother and wife really means. Our family consists of Dad: Charles, super bigwave surfer, master braaier (BBQer) arborist and horticulturist. Mom: blogger, farmer, homemaker and writer. The twins (fraternal): Charlotte and Annabelle and the little guy, Adam. We live on Ouland farm in the Garden Route, SA, with our two dogs and three horses - the chickens were sadly eaten by a caracal. I started this blog to share what I learn along the road of motherhood, wifehood, farming and living in as much a sustainable way as I can manage. |
