| Introduction | Welcome!!! I started my Etsy fabric shop, StitchStashDiva, as a part-time hobby to fund my other crafty hobbies. Now I am so busy growing my shop I have very limited time to craft! Ironic, but happily ironic! This blog is dedicated to bringing you ideas and inspiration for sewing and crafting projects, and to introduce you to other crafters! The biggest surprise (blessing) to owning my Etsy shop is all of the truly amazing people I "meet" and exchange regular e-mails and pictures with! The fabric, yarn, and crafting community is AMAZING! | Interests | All things fabric - especially quilting, making children's clothing and toys. I also love all things yarn! I enjoy painting on wood - handmade toys are my favorite and latest obsession. I love to make soup. I really love to eat my soup! Hiking and exploring my new state is a weekend favorite! I have so many interests and am limited to only 2 hands and 24 hours in a day...not fair, can you relate! Creating is breathing life and love into something to be shared, I love it!!! |
| Favorite music | I teach Suzuki Violin & Viola two afternoons a week and so classical music is in my blood! Large, orchestral music is my absolute favorite genre and I love to listen to music and "performance volume!" Take a walk past my house and you'll know what I mean!!! |
| Favorite books | Once or twice a year I read "fun" books such as Rashi's Daughters but most of the time you will find a book on nutrition, Waldorf education and anthroposophy, and various biographies on my all-time favorite musicians, Pablo Casals being a regular re-read. I love to combine my love of reading with my life long love of learning. My grandfather passed his learning legacy to me, and every time I open a new book it breathes fresh love into my happiest memories!!! |
