| Introduction | I'm Royce Shook, a retired professional, volunteer, and lifelong learner who believes the Boomer generation is rewriting what it means to grow older. This blog is my conversation with you about that journey. Here, you won't find advice about "managing" aging or "coping" with retirement. Instead, I explore what it means to lead a life of purpose, resilience, and connectio. long after the work badge has been hung up. As President of the Wilson Seniors Advisory Association, I've spent years working alongside seniors who are redefining leadership, community, and contribution in their later years. I write about the things that matter: • Finding purpose when the routines of work fall away • Building connections across generations • Navigating the emotional landscape of grief, change, and renewal • Staying healthy, curious, and engaged. I don't have all the answers. But I've learned a few things, mostly from watching people who show up, keep trying, and refuse to fade quietly into the background. If that sounds like you, I'm glad you're here. Let's explore what comes next, together. |
