About me

Introduction Artist, Glenda M. Adams, is a native of Montgomery, Alabama, and paints primarily in oils. She attempts a realistic, though painterly style of art through direct observation. She is both inspired and challenged by the admonition in I Timothy 4:14-15 KJV – “Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee … Meditate upon these things, give thyself wholly to them, that thy profiting may appear to all.” She enjoys plein air painting year round mostly because of the mild climate in Alabama, but also enjoys traveling throughout the south to capture the beauty found in each state. Most of Glenda’s work is completed on location, or en plein air, but she also enjoys working from smaller plein air studies to complete larger works in the studio. Her paintings are found in many private collections throughout the United States. Glenda is mostly a self-taught artist and has been painting for 30-plus years. She is an active member of the Montgomery Art Guild and the Alabama Plein Air Artists (APAA), and her work can be seen on their website: www.alabamapleinairartists.org.
