Introduction	When I retired from teaching at Vancouver Community College, I decided to start a new career, doing what I'd always dreamt of doing: writing. So, I took a couple of writing courses and started to write for children. Maxim Gogol said that writing for children was easy. You just have to write the same as for adults, only better. So it's a challenge and a joy. On May 30, 2009 (Day of Pentecost), I was life professed as a Third Order Franciscan.
Interests	Anglican church, Third Order of the Society of St. Francis, Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators, UBC Farm Friends, languages (French, Russian, Spanish, Greek, Hebrew, Esperanto, and I've recently started studying Welsh)

Favorite books	Harry Potter, William books, Dear Canada series; all Sue Grafton alphabet series, mourning her death and that the alphabet ends with "Y".
