| Introduction | When I was much, much younger, seems such a long time ago, my beloved mama owned an antique shop named The Shady Lady. Oh my ! What a shop is was. It was very large and divided into 2 sections. The first, displayed clothing from the 1800's to 1940's and gorgeous antique and collectable wonders. the second part of the shop was for the gentlemen. Again, clothing from the 1800's to 1940. Top hats, silver topped canes, snuff boxes, lace cravats... a treasure trove. Mama would have customers all the way from Melbourne and Sydney and other far away places. She was so loved by everyone. Even today, i still meet people who remember mama and Shady Lady. This site is for her. |
