| Introduction | Late in December of 2011, Kari was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia(AML). Since then, it has been a series of unfortunate circumstances. First, insurance will not cover the much needed Bone Marrow Transplant. Second, none of her siblings are matches for a transplant. Both of these things combined mean that now the amount for the transplant has doubled. The Darimont Family needs to raise $342,000.00 in order to get Kari her transplant. Currently in the community, there is a group named, "Karing For Kari" that is leading the charge in raising funds. Everything from Benefit Horse Rides, Silent Auctions and Fundraising Dinners are being organized and executed. Through these events the Fund set up at Wells Fargo has accumulated a portion of the money, but more is greatly needed. Anyone wanting to donate, needs only to walk into a Wells Fargo and state they would like to donate to the "Kari Darimont Benefit Fund" and the bankers will locate the account for you.
