| Introduction | Graduated from US Military Academy, West Point, in 1966. Had a rewarding, exciting career as infantry officer leading soldiers in Vietnam, Germany and CONUS, and with the Army Staff in the Pentagon. Retired in in Texas in 1990 as lieutenant colonel. Moved to Eastover, NC in 2010; works as project manager for an IT company in Fayetteville,NC. Began assisting stranded motorists in 1981; became serious about it in mid-1990s. Along the way, well over 1000 assists later, have developed low-tech techniques which work. My hope and expectation with this blog is to provide tips to readers and through contributors to prevent, plan for and contend with vehicle breakdowns - to minimize inconvenience and quickly resume travel. |
