Introduction	I am the Founder and Executive Director of Angel's Pediatric Heart House (APHH)--a 501c3 nonprofit organization. I created APHH in memory of my late husband, Dr. Angel R. Perez, who was a pediatric cardiologist practicing in South Florida. After he passed away, I had the opportunity to meet many of the parents of the children that were in his care. I was shocked when many of them told me they felt alone in their journey. As I began reading about the facts on congenital heart defects, I was shocked and immediately felt that I could continue serving the CHD community by creating a support/advocacy group. The mission of Angel's Pediatric Heart House is to: (1) provide emotional, social and financial support to families in South Florida affected by Congenital Heart Defects and; (2) promote and increase CHD awareness locally and nationally.
