Introduction	What I tell you about myself is less important than who you perceive me to be. I am sometimes sarcastic, usually tired, and often insane. I am a poet, a cynic, a child and a madwoman. I am a devout New Yorker, a non-practicing Jew, a grieving daughter, a loving not-wife, an over-protective sister, a fanatical aunt and a loyal friend. I smoke too many cigarettes, drink too much coffee and frequently struggle with both insomnia and chronic over-sleeping. My favorite board game is Scrabble. I do my crosswords in pen, but my grocery lists in pencil. I got my first ulcer when I was 12 and lost my virginity at 14. I like single-malt Scotch. I sing in the shower. I rarely keep both hands on the wheel, but always look both ways before crossing. My only deities are Steve Jobs and Jeremy Irons. I am a registered Democrat. I have inhaled. I think OJ did it. Why I am here? When this medium is optimized, it expands communication and puts people together who may not have otherwise met. Inspiration, perspiration, passion, perseverance, charm, and technology are my tools. I take the world seriously. I take myself lightly. This combination seems to be effective.

You've written a hit musical! How will you avoid having fame go to your head?

Good question. I have found that remaining in an upright position keeps pretty much everything from going to my head.
