Introduction	I was born in Zimbabwe and spent most of my childhood in Zambia with stints in Britain. We emigrated to Australia when I was 10 which was a shock at the time. I decided to become a teacher at around age 16 and combined this with my interest in Chinese and French and in history. I've been teaching for 30 years. I am married and have two lovely, grown children.
