How do you pronounce the 'g' in bologna?
The g in bologna is pronounced the same as the g in lasagna. However if the "na" in bologna was pronounced the same as the "na" in lasagna - we would have BOLONIA sandwiches. Or conversely, sit down to LAZAWNEE and garlic bread. I'm not sure either sound very appetizing.
