Introduction	Hello, my name is Retta Salerno and this is my blog Chalk & Talk no More: Leadership and Educational Technology. Here are a few key points that I feel embody me as an individual. I spend a lot of time with my family. Without my family I would be lost. I found out that I have Lupus about eight years ago, its been really hard; (just my luck it was my first year of teaching) and within the last 2 1/2 years I was told that I have Crohn's disease. In some cases my health issues have interfered with my professional life. I am a 7th and 8th Grade Math Teacher in upstate New York. I am in my 9th year of teaching and love it. I love teaching, it is what keeps me going from day to day. I hate to say it but Math is my life. I have a Masters of Science Education: Integration of Technology in the Classroom K-12 degree. Besides teaching I live at home with my family, without my mother over the past years I would have been lost. My family is my support team. We have a dog named Justice, she is an Alaskan Malamute, but you would never guess that because she howls pretty loud. I am currently working on my doctorate in Leadership and Educational Technology from the University of Phoenix.
