| Introduction | William James is a working poet currently living on Capitol Hill in Seattle. He has sharpened his craft on the streets as a spoken word busker and at famed venues such as the Slam, Hugo House Works in Progress, Red Pen Writers, Pilot Books, Bluebird Open Mic, Poet’s West, Couth Buzzard, Homeland, Mr. Spots Chai House, Thru Traffic Molly, Trabant, and Redsky. William James spent thirty-five years twiddling his thumbs in exotic places like Portland (the city of his birth), Grand Ronde & Willamina (the formative years), Israel (a discovery of lineage and who-he-was-ness), and McMinnville (the ruination and the American myth of adult). |
