About me

Introduction Job Role: Senior Learning Technologist; Corporate Information and Computing Services. Over the last 18 months I have been involved in developing the University's lecture recording service, myEcho, which is gently but progressively increasing in uptake. During the same time, but at a smaller scale, I’ve been working to develop interest in the use of electronic voting systems as a way of adding interactivity to classroom teaching sessions. Both of these have worked quite successfully as pilots and we are now looking at mainstreaming these as services. Current and new developments for me now include conducting a pilot of Blackboard’s Collaborate software and investigating the use of Google Apps in learning and teaching. I am the University’s institutional representative for the Association for Learning Technology, and act as a deputy editor for the Association’s Newsletter as well as sitting on its Publications Committee. My long term involvement in video production, podcasting and screencasting also sees me working on the steering group for the Media Enhanced Learning Special Interest Group. I also convene the White Rose learning Technologists’ Forum. @GrahamMacca on Twitter
