About me

Introduction When I was younger I plotted my life on a timeline. You know - leave home at 18, then travel, then settle down and marry at 25 and at the same time buy a house in a nice street with a park for the kids. Well I left home at 19 and that's as close I got really. Spent a couple of years partying at Canterbury University and then got (sort of) serious at AUT and gained a BCommStud, which does sound like a degree a horse would end up with but it had a lot to do with media, and for me - journalism. So after years of writing around New Zealand, I headed to London to resume the partying, and then to Australia for more partying and then off to Samoa for even more partying - and in between all this lots of writing. Then luckily I became pregnant. End of party. Broke up with the boy and landed back in NZ, broke, up the duff and single. Five years on, I'm still writing and even picked up the paintbrush as well and become an artist/curator. So what does all this mean? Well, I still havent bought the house but Patrick Alick Tafuna'i loves me, married me in 2009, and we share a fantastic son, great friends and a full life. Can't really complain now can I?
