Introduction	My niece Delaney has been diagnosed with Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood. Unfortunately, despite the name, this disease will affect Delaney the rest of her life. AHC affects the neurological system and causes temporary paralysis in the limbs and "episodes" that physically mirror seizure activity. Only about 400 people in the world have been diagnosed with the disease and therefore there is limited funding devoted to researching treatments and a possible cure. I am running to help raise awareness about the disease. I plan to run 1000 miles from January 1st, 2010 until October 21, 2010 (Del's 2nd Birthday!).
