| Introduction | بالإضافة إلى التاريخ و السياسة لدي شغف كبيربتدريس اللغة والبحث والدراسة. قضيت طوال حياتي في دراسة اللغة وتدريسها كأستاذة في الجامعة و في المدارس الثانوية و الإبتدائية. و لقد أتاح لي التدريس في هذه المستويات المختلفة اكتساب خبرة واسعة في تعليم اللغات. فلقد حصلت على رخصة تدريس الفرنسية والعربية والإيطالية للمستويين الإبتدائي والثانوي من ولاية فرجينيا. و الآن أدرس اللغة العربية بإحدى مدارس مقاطعة فرفاكس. و في الصيف أشتغل بستارتوك، منذ 2010 حتى الآن، بجامعة جورج ميسن بفرجينيا كمعلمة رئيسية للمدرسين العرب، تحت إشراف الدكتورة هيلي. أقدم دروسا نمودجية و أساعد المدرسين على تطبيق ما يتلقونه في ورشات الصباح من أساتذة معروفين على المستوى الوطني. أعتقد أن أكبر تحدي في تدريس اللغة هو تنمية، أو على الأقل، الإحتفاظ على حماس وشغف الطلبة باللغة التي اختاروها. لهذا فأنا دؤوبة الدراسة والبحث عن طرق وأنشطة مختلفة تساعد على استقطاب اهتمام الطالب باللغة و ثقافتها و أسلوبها. فاستعمال التكنولوجيا أصبح يحتل مكانة مهمة بين مهارات القرن الحالي، فلهذا أنا استخدمها يوميا. لقد صدق من قال "الصورة تساوي ألف كلمة". قد نقلت أسماء بعض المواقع التي اجدها مفيدة و أستعملها في الصف و أرجو أن تنال إعجابكم إن شاء الله. |
| Interests | • In addition to history, I have an everlasting passion for language teaching and learning because I have been a language learner and a language instructor all my life. As a College professor and as a teacher at the High and Elementary school levels, I have gained experience in teaching languages and I’m licensed in teaching French, Arabic, and Italian with Virginia. I think that a crucial element in any foreign language classroom is to keep students interested and motivated. Learning and practicing different new strategies and interactive activities using authentic material makes language learning meaningful for students. I share in this Blog different sites that I find helpful in my instruction. I try to bring as much culture and technology into the classroom as possible to satisfy the new millennial learners. They not only ask to be engaged but want to be challenged. The rewards of teaching are based on daily gratification derived from students' success in achieving a task or surprising me with an expression of their own. I’m a master teacher at George Mason University Summer Startalk since 2010. The presenters invited to the program are experts and nationally renowed in language instruction and bring to the program the best strategies for engaging students. I was also master teacher with American Councils for International Teachers in DC. Summer 2011. |
