| Introduction | Hello everyone, I don’t have any fancy titles behind my name, or any formal training in social work. But one thing I do know a lot about is domestic violence. I grew up watching my mother and many other women being abused in every way. I experienced verbal abuse in a former marriage, and attended funerals of loved ones who were victims of domestic violence. At the age of 21, I received my first bloody nose. And that was my last. Leaving an abusive situation can be just as daunting as remaining in one. Even though you break free, your body experiences the freedom, but your mind, and your soul are filled with confusion and pain. It is my goal to help ease the pain of starting over on your own by creating a one-stop resource site that will provide useful information. The bible says that, “My people perish for the lack of knowledge.” I believe that God is using my gifts and talents to bring you that knowledge, especially of His Word. It is my hope that you will step out on faith, give God a chance to help you recover, and create a beautiful life for yourselves. Wounds can heal. You will never forget your experience with violence and abuse, but you can live again. Trust me, I know. |
