Introduction	Students are facing an issue: creativity is being unintentionally discouraged. Students are often pressured to perform to a teacher’s interests and opinions. They are not always permitted to speak as freely as they please, and this is a problem. Throughout my academic career I have experience situations with teachers or professors where their personal, political, and social views influenced their grading. I believe those aspects should not be taken into consideration when grading. A student should be judged on their work without the teachers personal perspective coming into play. Hopefully, my efforts in this blog raise awareness to better understand the academic environment. I hope teachers and student become more conscious of this issue and eventually become more open minded.
