Introduction	I wrote a humor column for a local paper for three years. I'd like to share these columns with a larger audience now. Some warrent it . . . others probably don't, but if any bring a smile to your face I'll think my time was well spent. Even though I abandoned the column for a larger dream of writing books, I find the articles will not stop coming to me. Writing them is cathartic, especially since my dream of getting a book actually published seems to be eluding me. So, if you were a reader of the paper Appel Slyces was originally published in, you will find some new nuggets among the old. Many thanks for coming to my blog if you are an old friend, or a new one.
