About me

GenderMale
LocationDallas, Texas
IntroductionLook me up as @pacojavi712 on Twitter. I enjoy long walks on the beach (if I'm wade fishing on the gulf) and candlelit dinners (if I'm with my friends drinking sangria). I write poetry, or should I say, poetry writes me.
InterestsMy posts should show my interests fairly well. I'm a huge sports fan and root for most UT sports, Texas Rangers baseball, NBA's San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Titans
Favorite moviesThe extended version of the Lord of the Rings trilogy is great. Growing up, The Right Stuff was one of my favorites. Other faves include Tombstone, Good Will Hunting, And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself, The Matrix, Signs, Kingdom of God, Roman Holiday & Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Favorite musicGees, where do I start? I like everything from Beatles to Café Tacvba, from Dizzy Gillespie to George Strait, from The Police to Paco de Lucía and from Tool to Stravinsky. Then throw in some Alanis Morissette and Sarah McLachlan and I'm set. Music is my first love, so the way to my heart is through music.
Favorite booksI don't have one book that's my favorite, but I've read some good ones lately: World Undone by GJ Meyer, Scourge of God by William Dietrich, Time Travelers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger, Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruíz Zafón and the Captain Alatriste series by Arturo Perez-Reverte.

The children are waiting! Please tell them the story about the bald frog with the wig:

The bald frog thought he would impress the girl of his dreams by wearing a wig, because he figured that's what she liked but what he didn't realize was that she loved her frogs nice and bald. The moral of the story is do what you want to do and don't give a damn what others think.
