| Introduction | I have spent most of my adult life in and around policing. I have over 25 years of public safety experience as a consultant, analyst, educator, and police supervisor. As a consultant I have been responsible for organizational assessment, information systems analysis, and process re-engineering of police agencies throughout the United States and the world. I served in Iraq as a Senior Police Advisor where he managed a team of police professionals responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of Iraqi national police policy. I am currently working as an Applied Criminologist for George Mason University, living on the Caribbean island of Trinidad where I am assisting with a transformation of the Trinidad Tobago Police Service. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Justice Administration from Brigham Young University, a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Cal State Long Beach, and am currently completing a PhD in criminal justice through the University at Albany, New York. I’ve been married to Tauna for 28 years. We have four great kids and two beautiful granddaughters. |
