Introduction	I'm a young middle-aged Caucasian female who spent my childhood and youth in Denmark and have lived in Tucson, AZ, USA since 1984. I've experienced, first-hand, how important the ideology of a country is to the health and welfare of its people. Growing up in a country where educational opportunities, job opportunities, family unity, and health are highly prioritized by the Danish government, I can't help being concerned about the condition of the American society where profit usually is the underlying determining factor for decidions, leaving out so many other very important factors that need to be considered for the health and wellbeing of the American people. At a time when our Government is short on funds and nobody wants to pay extra taxes for "hand-outs," we need to think "outside the box" to come up with ways to get the American people engaged in helping each other and their communities in meaningful ways.
