| Introduction | I am a (almost) 39 year-old former sailor turned wife and mommy. When I got out of the Navy, I vowed to never, ever run again. My knees were shot, my shins hated me. But somehow, in the span of 24 hours (September 7-8, 2013 to be exact), I found myself committed to doing the Tough Mudder in 2014. I guess what doesn't kill me, will ensure that I feel 40, right? This is the story of my journey from couch potato to competitor - and doing it all before I turn 40. |
