Introduction There has been a lot of complaining about "cafeteria" Catholics (though aren't we all at some level?). Rather than producing more "orthodox" Catholics, heavy-handed rulings from pastors, bishops and/or popes have further pushed many Catholics from membership in parishes. Currently only a third of American Catholics can be found in Church on a given Sunday. Many become detached from parishes, and become "Roamin' Catholics" without a faith-community to call their own. It may not be a question of faith in God, but one of institutional relevance. On this blog, I would like to explore the issues and challenges faced by Catholics who feel adrift from the institutional Church and roaming to find a faith and community that is life-giving.
