| Introduction | Tamara Al-Qaisi-Coleman is a graduate of the University of Houston with dual degrees in Creative Writing and Middle Eastern Studies. She creates in a variety of genres and media. Her fiction publications include the “Naming the Stars” in the tenth issue of Scintilla Magazine and “Akhira” in the first issue of Paper Trains Journal. “Gallery Blues” was published in the Bayou Review in their Women’s Issue. Her essay “Dying as an Immediate but not Permanent Reality in Love in the Time of Cholera” in Glass Mountain Volume 21. She’s an amateur in photography and her work has been published in Cosumnes River Journal, University of Houston Art Zine, and Sonder Midwest Review. She was the creator and editor of Shards the online magazine of Glass Mountain at the University of Houston. She is the Administrative Coordinator at Writers in the schools and the Marketing Director of Defunkt Magazine |
