| Introduction | I was born in Staffordshire, England and for thirty years worked as a zoo keeper, specialising in the care of wild cats, birds of prey and reptiles. I now lives in the Yarra Valley in Victoria, Australia with my wife, also a former zoo keeper, and who now works in the art world. Here, following my early retirement from zoo keeping, I have continued to write multi-genre fiction in which 'ordinary people deal with the extraordinary'. I am also working on my memoir of three decades of zoo keeping in both England and Australia, which is to be entitled 'Whose Zoo?'. |
