Bella's Journey...our dog going blind

Introduction	This is Bella our almost 3 year old, 4 pound Chihuahua. She is our much loved and totally spoiled Fur-baby. Bella is as sweet as she is cute! "Bella's journey" started just before Thanksgiving 2011, this "journey" is and will continue to be a bumpy ride for all of us. I am personally having a very difficult time accepting what is happening to my lil pumpkin head, so I decided to start this blog to help me cope and share Bella's story. Bella is currently blind in her right eye...It is suspected that the hereditary condition she has developed is a bilateral one, which means the left eye will also go blind in the future. The retina in her "good eye", we're told, has already begun to curl... Her medical diagnoses is; right eye-Vitreal Syneresis, Retinal detachment and Lens Subluxation. left eye (good eye)-Vitreal Syneresis. Unfortunately, secondary conditions may also develop, but we are grateful that we were chosen to have Bella in our lives and as a family we will take things one day at a time...this is "Bella's Journey".
