| Introduction | I’m nobody. I have no earned or honorary title, yet I worked in churches. I do not have a doctorate, yet I taught in seminary, I served on ordaining committees, but am not ordained. I have never pastored a church, but held two together through transitions. I do not have a degree in homiletics, but have preached often. I am not an expert in anything. I have done every job in the church there is to do including cleaning toilets. I angered some, annoyed many and down right ticked others off. I didn’t intend any of that. I just messed up. I love the church. I am a normal bloke trying to do what I believe God wants me to do. I am not perfect, but if I read the Bible correctly, “none are righteous, no not one.” I welcome discussion, disagreement and correction. I will accept any comment kindly put forth. I welcome the comments of those who know me. These are my perceptions. They may not even be accurate, but they are how I remember them. After more than 50 years, our memories deceive us. |
