| Introduction | Native Texan who, from 1996 to 2007, was part of an endangered species residing in Marin County, CA (a flag-waving Conservative). Being a conservative there makes you feel, well...marooned in a strange planet, hence the name of this blog. I'm currently living in exile in Fairfax County, VA. I am also a former print journalist. My writing experience includes a stint as editor of my college newspaper, as well as work at a daily newspaper as well as a business journal. Some of the people I've interviewed over the years include former Texas Sens. Phil Gramm & Bob Kreuger, former Gov.
